The holiday season is here, and so is another #hashtag calendar! If you’ve been keeping up with Social Static’s blog, you know that by using these hashtags, you’re connecting with your audience in a fun and engaging way, by discussing something that you have in common.
 
Although you may be excited and want to celebrate all of the hashtags on the following list, let use remind you to only use hashtags that are relevant to your brand and audience. Pick the holidays that are most relevant to your business and your ideal customer and create engaging content that will excite them.
 
The following is a list of hashtags that you can use this December to grow your connection with your audience!

 

December 1st: Giving Tuesday (#GivingTuesday)

Celebrate Giving Tuesday by sharing ways that you are, and others can transform their communities and the world.
 


December 4th: National Cookie Day (#NationalCookieDay)
 
Grab some cookies from your local bakery and celebrate National Cookie Day with friends and family on December 4th.


 
December 5th: International Volunteers Day (#InternationalVolunteersDay)
 
Take time to celebrate all of the hard work of volunteers and organizations. Do so by sharing how you volunteer, what organizations you work with, or some of your favorites that others can refer to.
 


December 7th: Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day (#PearlHarborRemembranceDay)
 
December 7th honor the 2,403 United States citizens whose lives were unfortunately lost on December 7th, 1941.


 
December 10th: Human Rights Day (#HumanRightsDay)
 
Human Rights Day is a milestone document that proclaims the inalienable rights which every person is entitled to as a human being – regardless of race, color, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Celebrate this day, and the major milestone it was in history by sharing ways to sustain and develop human rights in the future.
 


December 11th: International Mountain Day (#InternationalMountainDay)
 
Share a photo from your favorite adventure on International Mountain Day!

 


December 21st: First Day of Winter (#WinterSolstice)
 
On December 21st it will be the official first day of winter, share some of your favorite things to do during winter, and ask others for recommendations as well.
 


December 24th: Christmas Eve (#ChristmasEve)
 
Christmas is near, wish friends and family a merry Christmas Eve by posting on social media and sending holiday cheer.
 


December 25th: Christmas Day (#Christmas)
 
Merry Christmas! Wish your audience a very merry Christmas with a holiday post, then get back into the holiday spirit with family and friends.
 


December 27th: No Interruptions Day (#NoInterruptionsDay)
 
On the last workday of the year, set aside some time to get organized for the new year by cleaning up your workspace (both physically and mentally) for the new year. Share tips and tricks for your favorite way to reorganize for the New Year.
 


December 31st: New Year’s Eve (#NYE2020)
 
Ring in 2021 with your followers, share your New Year’s goal, and ask them theirs! This is a great way to engage and celebrate the closing of one chapter and beginning of the next.
